Our Story

What is white harvest ministries?

White Harvest Ministries began as the ministry blog of Pastor Charlie Parish while he was serving as a full time missionary in the country of Panama. Throughout the years, the Lord has grown White Harvest to be used as a  ministry hub for an annual discipleship conference,  blog, podcast,  as well as pastor training and church planting efforts.

Jesus compared the lost world to a white harvest. Agriculturally speaking, when a field is white, it means that it is ready to be harvested. When a stalk of a grain field is fully grown, it is white as far as the eye can see. If these grain fields were not harvested, their crop would eventually die and be of no use to anyone or anything.

Our Lord desired that His disciples know the situation that lies before them as well as their mission. Countless people in the world are lost and in danger of dying in their sins.  They are in need of a spiritual harvest. And that harvest can only be brought about through the proclamation of God’s word.  White Harvest Ministries was created in order to raise up disciples, equipped and ready to go into the harvest.  This is done through our annual discipleship conference as well as teaching through our blog postings and our podcast.

This is just the beginning. White Harvest Ministries exists to glorify God and edify the local church through our conferences, blogs, and podcasts. And also  to create a passion and urgency within God's people to serve Him in Great Commission  pursuits. By God’s grace, we hope to expand White Harvest Ministries in the coming years to be a mighty scythe in the hands of the Lord, bringing many to salvation and sending even more harvesters into the field.

“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’?
Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.”

 John 4:35
